How Long Does A Hybrid Battery Last

Author: Site Editor     Publish Time: 2022-05-23      Origin: Site

Excluding various factors such as failure and loss, the theoretical lifespan of a hybrid battery can generally be preliminarily judged by the cycle life.

According to reports from hybrid car owners, the original hybrid battery from Toyota/Honda/Lexus will last up to 8 to 10 years and average 150,000 miles.

Assuming you drive (start and stop) your car once a day, that means one cycle of the battery. Basically, 8 to 10 years means 2920 - 3650 times. If the start-stop exceeds this once-per-day frequency, the hybrid battery life will naturally be shortened.
